Hey new besties! I’m Liana, your new best mom friend! I’m a former Prekindergarten teacher with over a decade of experience in early childhood education and development. I’m also a new mom! And it’s hard! I decided to share my motherhood journey in hopes to help other new moms feel less alone, and to feel more confident in their mommying abilities. There was A LOT I wasn’t prepared for before becoming a mom, even though I did a ton of research, prenatal classes, breastfeeding classes, etc. Postpartum anxiety being one of those things. It hit me like a ton of bricks! So new bestie, if you’re going through this, I see you. I had my first baby at age 37 and being an “older” mom also comes with its own challenges. Getting pregnant was an unexpected difficulty but I am so proud to say I am unbelievably blessed. I started Happy Mommying to help other moms navigate through this crazy, new, wonderful adventure. I hope I can provide you with support, resources, inspiration, and tools to help make parenting just a teensy bit easier. I’m just your average, regular mom stumbling my way through motherhood, trying to be the best mom I can be.
Totally in my mom era!
A good friend said to me, “being a mom is the hardest job you’ll ever love”. She was so right! I am the happiest, most fulfilled I have ever been. I feel like I was meant to be a mom. But just as much as I love being in my mom era, it doesn’t mean it’s not the hardest job I’ve ever had. I’m here for all of it though. All the messy, magical, frustrating, heartwarming, sticky, wonderful firsts. Just a first time mom with a first time baby.
